Positions presently available:

Morton & Associates is currently looking for legal interns and legal assistants (all positions are paid) to work on global intellectual property matters in our Auckland, New Zealand and Cebu, Philippines offices.

Provide support to the firm partners and legal team including (but not exclusively):
 Legal research
 Drafting contracts and legal documents
 Trademark filings
 Litigation support
 Liaising with agencies and courts
 Communicating with clients
 General administrative functions

Must have familiarity with standard office procedures in a law firm environment.
Excellent writing, grammar and analytical thinking skills.
Excellent proofreading skills and strong attention to detail are essential.
Knowledge of MS Office applications.
Must have active interest in learning intellectual property law.
Must have your own laptop.

Must have excellent English and excel in expressing yourself effectively, both orally and in writing.
Additional languages are preferred but not required, we specifically need:
 All EU languages
 Traditional & Simplified Chinese
 Japanese
 Korean
 Russian
 Arabic

Education and Experience:
Presently attending or recently graduated from an accredited law school.
One year of previous legal support experience in a law firm or corporate legal department is preferred but not required.
